Reclaiming American Leadership in Solar

The seeds of Solarix were planted in 2014 when friends and founders Napoli Gomez and Carlos Class Sr. met while developing Heterojunction Solar Cell technology. By 2021, their combined expertise led to a vision for a competitive, U.S.-based solar manufacturing facility. In 2022, Carlos Class Jr. joined the team, bringing critical management and logistical experience. After extensive research, the team acquired a Tier 1 facility in Forest, Virginia in July 2024.

Our nearly half-million-square-foot facility in Forest, Virginia, is a center for technological stewardship.

  • Scale and Efficiency: Our fully automated solar manufacturing line operates with less than one-quarter of the manpower required by traditional manufacturers.
  • Next-Gen Readiness: We are currently ramping the Virginia plant to 600 MW capacity while preparing for an additional 800 MW line including R&D in next-gen HJT and Perovskite technologies.
  • Domestic Impact: The site is projected to create over 100 manufacturing jobs and bolster U.S. energy independence.
  • Sustainability: Our facility includes an upcoming state-of-the-art recycling line, positioning Goldi America as a pioneer in full life-cycle management.

The transition from Solarix to Goldi America reflects the natural evolution of a mission that began with reshoring solar manufacturing to the United States and has now matured into a globally aligned, vertically integrated platform built for long-term scale, resilience, and leadership.

The strategic partnership announced between Solarix and Goldi Solar, one of the world’s fastest-growing and most respected solar manufacturers, marks a pivotal next chapter in that mission.

As the collaboration expands beyond module assembly into end-to-end U.S. solar manufacturing — including advanced cell production, R&D, and domestic content qualification — the Goldi America name more accurately reflects the scale, permanence, and ambition of the platform being built.
